I have spent more than three decades helping people resolve problems with the IRS. My office is in Tampa, a short drive across the bay from St. Petersburg, and a large share of the people who call are from Pinellas County.
Many of them are retired. They worked for forty years, saved what they could, and now a letter says the IRS is going to take part of their Social Security, or wants to know why an IRA distribution was not reported, or has assessed a penalty on a required distribution they never knew they were supposed to take. That is the work this site is about.
What I handle
Federal tax collection and controversy: Social Security and pension levies, levies on retirement accounts, installment agreements, offers in compromise, currently not collectible status, penalty relief, Collection Due Process hearings, federal tax liens, and unfiled returns. I handle federal matters before the IRS, so the work is not limited to Florida.
